1. Reasons CID Collects Company and/or personal information
We collect your company and/or personal information because it helps us deliver a superior level of User service. It enables us to give you convenient access to our products and services and focus on categories of greatest interest to you. In addition, your company and/or personal information helps us keep you posted on the latest product announcements, special offers, and events that you might like to hear about.
2. Information CID Collects and How the Information May be Used
There are a number of situations in which your company and/or personal information may help us give you better products. For example:
If you require GS1 databar barcodes to be generated, we will first request proof of your assigned company pre-fix from the GS1 US.
We may ask for your company and/or personal information when you're discussing a service issue on the phone with an associate, participating in an online survey, registering your products, or purchasing a product.
When you interact with CID, we may collect company and/or personal information relevant to the situation, such as your name, mailing address, phone number, E-mail address, and contact preferences; your credit card information and information about CID products you own, such as their serial numbers and date of purchase; and information relating to a support or service issue.
We also collect information for market research purposes, such as your occupation and where you use your CID products, to gain a better understanding of our Users and thus provide more valuable service.
We collect information regarding User activities on our websites This helps us to determine how best to provide useful information to Users and to understand which parts of our websites, products, and Internet services are of most interest to them.
We may use company and/or personal information to provide products that you have requested as well as for auditing, research, and analysis to improve our products.
3. Your Online Username and Related Information
Our website allows you to create a "User Name" based on your company and/or personal information. In order to create your User Name you will need to create a personal or company profile by providing your name or company name, phone number, E-mail address, and in some cases your mailing address or a credit card number.
4. When CID Discloses Your Information
CID takes your privacy very seriously. CID does not sell or rent your contact information to other marketers.
There are also times when it may be advantageous for CID to make certain company and/or personal information about you available to companies that CID has a strategic relationship with or that perform work for CID to provide products and services to you on our behalf. These companies may help us process information, billing information, provide better customer support, extend credit, fulfill User orders, deliver products to you, manage and enhance User data, provide User service, assess your interest in our products and services, or conduct User research or satisfaction surveys. In such situation these companies are prohibited from using your company and/or personal information for any unauthorized purposes and are also obligated to protect your information in accordance with CID's policies, except if we inform you otherwise at the time of collection. Without such information being made available, it would be difficult for you to purchase products, have products delivered to you, receive User service, provide us feedback to improve our products and services, or access certain services, offers, and content on our website.
CID may take the company and/or personal information we receive from individuals responding to our User surveys and combine (or aggregate) it with the responses of other Users we may have, to create broader, generic responses to the survey questions (such as gender, age, residence, hobbies, education, employment, industry sector, or other demographic information). CID then uses the aggregated information to improve the quality of its services to you, and to develop new services and products. This aggregated non-personally identifying information may be shared with third parties.

5. How CID Protects Your Company and/or Personal Information
CID takes precautions including administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard your company and/or personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
You can help us by also taking precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet. Change your passwords often using a combination of letters and numbers.
6. Integrity of Your Company and/or Personal Information
CID has safeguards in place to keep your company and/or personal information accurate, complete, and up to date for the purposes for which it is used. At any time you may update your company and/or personal information by logging into the CID website and clicking the "My Profile" or "Company Profile" link. In addition, you can request a copy of your product registration history, billing history and your interactions with our sales and support agents by contacting us at the E-mail address email@example.com.
While we make efforts to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party "hackers" from illegally obtaining your personal information.
7. Newsletters, Offers and Updates
CID may send occasional emails to Users providing newsletter information, current promotions or any new updates to the Site and or services offered by CID. Should you wish to opt-out of these communications, simply click the link at the bottom of the communication entitled "unsubscribe."
8. Privacy of Children
Protecting children's privacy is especially important to us. We do not knowingly collect company and/or personal information from children under 13.If a child under 13 submits company and/or personal information to CID and we learn that company and/or personal information is the information of a child under 13, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible. It is our policy to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 and all other applicable laws. Therefore we restrict our website to persons 18 years or older.
YOU MUST BE EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OR OLDER TO ACCESS CID'S WEBSITE. IF YOU ARE UNDER EIGHTEEN YEARS OF AGE, YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ACCESS CID'S WEB SITE FOR ANY REASON. DUE TO THE AGE RESTRICTIONS FOR USE OF THAT WEBSITE, NO INFORMATION OBTAINED BY THAT WEBSITE FALLS WITHIN THE CHILDREN'S ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT OF 1998 AND IS NOT MONITORED AS DOING SO.
9. Cookies and Other Technologies

As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual Users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track Users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our User base as a whole. CID will not use the information collected to market directly to that person.
In some of our E-mail messages we use a "click-through URL" linked to content on our website. When Users click one of these URLs, they pass through our web server before arriving at the destination web page. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our User communications. If you prefer not to be tracked simply avoid clicking text or graphic links in the E-mail.
In addition, we use pixel tags-tiny graphic images-to tell us what parts of our website Users have visited or to measure the effectiveness of searches that Users perform on our site. Pixel tags also enable us to send E-mail messages in a format Users can read and they tell us whether E-mails have been opened to ensure that we're sending only messages that are of interest to our Users. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to a User. We store all of this information in a secure database located in Walawala, Washington, in the United States.

CID abides by the safe harbor framework set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of company and/or personal information collected from the European Union.

Our website has links to the sites of other companies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to learn about the privacy policies of those companies.
